To Strain cook dinner

  • Mangalore cucumber (Southekayi) – 1/2
  • Tamarind – Massive Gooseberry measurement
  • Jaggery – 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Toor dal – 1/3 cup
  • Salt & water – as wanted

To mood

  • Cooking Oil or Ghee – 2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • Urad dal – 1/2 tsp
  • Pink chilli – 1
  • Curry leaves – few

To roast and grind

  • Cooking oil – 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds – 1/4 tsp
  • Urad dal – 2 tsp
  • Coriander seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Byadagi purple chilli – 2 to three (Add extra for spicy style)
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Grated Coconut – 1/3 cup

HOW TO MAKE MANGALORE CUCUMBER SAMBAR

  1. Wash and chop the cucumber into huge items. Soak tamarind in water and take the extract. Put aside.
  2. Strain cook dinner toor dal including turmeric powder, few drops of cooking oil and water. Put aside.
  3. Preserve a field contained in the cooker and place the cucumber items.

METHOD – STEP BY STEP PICTURES
